↳ In her father's restaurant, there is a small bar, all of the stuff they make is home made, trading the supplies they need with other store owners. They only have a total of eight different drinks, a mix up between things found in the city and homemade recipe.
Acting
↳ Her hobby. When she was younger, she saved money up for an acting class. She attended and passed and now does side jobs in the theater business. She's not sure if this is the direction she wants to go in or what, but it's fun to be able to yell in someone's face without being grounded. Hotaru used to practice her crying on her family, always crying when her brother baked something sugary just so she could get some.

↳ Hotaru is bendy despite not exersizing on a daily basis and training her body do be like a soldier. When she turned fifteen, she started training how to dance, which is something she finds useful for her acting career, if she wants one to succeed.

Background:
Hotaru's parents were born and raised in the Fire Nation colonies. They had a good life, they were well off and her mother was a bender, so if someone threatened them she would stand up to them when her family needed them. They got by.

By the time her parents decided they were going to have a child, they moved to the growing Republic City, hoping to be able to give their child a better life, a life where everyone could live together in Peace - live the last Avatar's dream.

They got themselves settled down before having their first child. Starting off in a one room apartment, Hortaru's parent's used all the money they could to open a restaurant with the hope that it would flourish and that's how they'd make their living.

It was like Hotaru's father sold his soul to the devil because after their first child was born, the restaurant finally started to get more business, they got more money and were able to move into a bigger house, upgrade the quality of ingredients at the restaurant and expand it a little.

Five years later, Hotaru was finally born into a very stable and happy household. The only drama she really experienced were sibling related things, nothing too extreme.

However, like mother like daughter, Hotaru was born a fire bender who didn't like to bend. Most of the kids like her enjoyed the cool ability, how they stood out from all the normal kids and could make fire dance to their own choreography.

Hotaru never felt compelled to bend, she didn't want her life to be different than her older brother's, she wanted to live like everyone, just an underground person who wasn't noticed.

But Hotaru's personality doesn't exactly agree with that. Hotaru easily gets worked up and even though she works at her father's restaurant. she doesn't really believe in the "customer is always right". She's well known for flipping the tray at the customers. Most dodge it, but there are the few that get hurt by it and it lands Hotaru a night in jail.

Despite her hot temper, the restaurant is still constantly busy, most come to watch the weird girl freak out and get a good laugh.

because she hasn't really... trained to tame her fire bending, she's prone to causing random fires, but always keeps materials to put the fire out as quickly as possibly.

My oc that I hope to one day flesh out/rp or something, a closer image of her, cut off from all the random scribbling I did on the side. But I liked the profile image so I wanted to post that separately.

I do now own Legend of Korra, I just stuffed my own character in their world.
